How we verify who's real
Anyone can type a doctor's name into a form. That is worth nothing on its own — so QDoctor doesn't rely on it. Our listings are built on a simple chain of trust that always ends at a real place you can walk into:
- We verify the pharmacy first. A pharmacy is a fixed, physical business in your neighbourhood. Until it is verified, its listing shows to no one and vouches for no one.
- The pharmacy vouches for its doctors. A doctor becomes visible only when a verified pharmacy that actually hosts them confirms it. The pharmacy knows the doctor in person — that is the real-world check behind every profile.
- One doctor, one profile. A doctor who sits at several pharmacies is a single verified profile, not a scatter of duplicates. Two people may share a name, but never a phone number and never a registration number — so we use those to keep identities clean.
Every doctor you see on QDoctor is there because a real pharmacy put its name behind them. No anonymous listings, no ghost queues.
What we keep private — on purpose
Verifying a doctor needs sensitive identifiers. Showing them to the world does not. So we separate the two:
- A doctor's phone number and registration/licence number are used only to verify identity. They are never shown publicly — the app displays only a masked, last-few-digit fingerprint.
- For patients, we hold only a name, phone number and the serial booked — the minimum a counter needs to call your turn.
- We collect no health information whatsoever: no symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions or history. That stays between you and your doctor, in person.

What we will never do
- Never sell or rent your data. No data brokers, no advertisers, no cross-site tracking. QDoctor is queue software, not an ad business.
- Never post fake or paid-for queues. Visibility comes from a real pharmacy's endorsement, not from who pays most.
- Never give medical advice. We don't diagnose, prescribe or triage. We get you to a real doctor without the wait.
- Never expose private identifiers. Phone and licence numbers stay masked, always.
How we protect it
Good intentions need real safeguards behind them:
- All traffic is encrypted end-to-end (HTTPS/TLS), with HSTS and DNSSEC protecting the domain itself.
- Access to data is governed by row-level rules, so people can only reach their own information; sensitive fields are locked down at the database.
- Administrative tools are restricted to authenticated administrators — the public interface cannot reach them.

How do you know a doctor listed on QDoctor is real?
A doctor becomes visible only when a verified pharmacy that hosts them confirms it. The pharmacy knows the doctor in person, so the endorsement is a real-world check, not just a typed-in claim.
Is a doctor's phone or licence number shown publicly?
No. Phone and registration/licence numbers are kept confidential and used only for verification. The public only ever sees a masked last-few-digit fingerprint.
Do you sell or share my data with advertisers?
Never. QDoctor does not sell, rent or trade personal data, and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. It is queue software funded to stay simple, not an ad business.
Does QDoctor store any health information?
No. We hold only what a queue needs — name, phone and serial. No diagnoses, prescriptions or medical history are ever collected.
Can I ask you to delete my data?
Yes. You can ask us to correct or erase your data at any time by writing to [email protected], and we respond within the timelines set by the DPDP Act and the GDPR. Because we hold so little, there is very little to remove.
